Will To Win: BOWL BAY AREA'S ONE-BALL TOURNAMENT: Are you interested in an unusual test of your bowling skills? Pete Hagin's Bowl Bay Area is hosting an eight-gamer on June 2nd (Sunday)...
I thoroughly enjoyed this tournament. I didn't bowl well -- I broke 200 only twice in eight games. Still the challenge was interesting and fun to bowl. Changing lanes sure was a breeze with a single ball tote instead of my three ball roller with an add-a-ball.
I chose a ball that worked out well and the oil pattern wasn't a problem. I went with my Motiv Ascent (a ball with a solid coverstock for light oil) and it reacted the way I expected. I simply wasn't very sharp. It was one of those days when I had trouble hitting my spots and it shattered my confidence.
No doubt I would enter another of these tournaments. I'd like to see some single-ball tournaments for doubles, trios, and teams of four. I hope Pete will consider it.
